I love hosting, I should rather say I love setting up pretty party tables, haha. But in my defense, I definitely enjoy having friends over gathered around our dining table, sharing some much needed laughs and just having a good time. But working full time, I generally don’t get the time to do nicely arranged tablescapes every time I’m hosting. So I usually do it on special occasions like birthdays, holidays, etc. which pretty much happens only a few times a year. So being a decor fanatic, I’m usually far more excited during those times than normal people, Lol.
And by birthday I mean, my daughter’s birthday, for hubby and I, our birthdays are usually spent dining out at our favorite restaurants. So when I have the time to be a little fancy and get to put together a cute tablescape, I go nuts!
In this post I have shared a very easy holiday themed tablescape that can be put together in literally 10 minutes! So this post is for those of you who are frantically googling for an easy and last minute holiday table setup!
All you need is the following:
- A neutral toned table runner. Mine is from Homesense.
- 3 big white candles ( I used white because my color theme is pretty bright and colorful with a mixture of bright red and greens). I already had these at home, they can be bought from any supermarket or department store like Walmart.
- 1 long artificial pine garland, use real leaves if you can, it looks 100% better and smells amazing plus it’s FREE!! I just couldn’t find any nearby and was super constrained by time so I used the faux branches.
- 3 small red berry candle rings for the 3 candles.
- 1 large red berry candle ring to add to the middle candle. I used two rings for the middle candle as I did not want to leave any empty space around the middle and this gives the table a fuller look.
- 1 or 2 battery operated string lights to add to the garland.
- Few Christmas ball ornaments and pine cones to just scatter along the centre line of the table.
- Plates, glassware, napkins and cutlery as needed.
For the buffet table:
All the items listed below are purchased from Dollarama.
- Few Christmas themed gift boxes.
- A mini Christmas tree and another battery operated string light to wrap around the mini tree. Use a burlap sheet to cover the bottom of the tree.
- 1 long artificial poinsettia garland (optional) to just spread around the boxes and other decorative pieces on the buffet table. If you want to keep it simple and don’t like the pop of red color then just use another pine garland instead.
- A holiday themed mini faux plant.
- Reuse old mini plants to fill up the space.
Majority of the items here are purchased from Amazon Canada. Most items are already linked but just to summarize, other items are from Homesense, Home Depot, Wayfair and Dollarama.
Hopefully this holiday tablescape inspiration was helpful to you guys, please don’t forget to leave me a feedback which would help me tremendously to improve on my next post!
Until next party, have a good one!
