If you are pressed for time and are scrambling for last minute Eid craft ideas, then this is the craft you need. It can be done with $0, using things that’s already in your home and is a very easy activity which doesn’t need a lot of adult supervision. What I love most about this activity is that, even though it’s a super quick craft but it can be built up by doing multiple number of the tasks which eventually can be made into a big garland type wall decor. For the purpose of this post, I’ve only made one moon and one star but creating multiple number of moons and stars is also a great option.
If you have more time in hand then don’t forget to check out my PAINTED ROCK EID ACTIVITY or if you’re looking for an easy DIY RAMADAN CALENDAR, it can be found here.
Thing required for this craft:
- A paper plate
- A pencil
- Any paint of your choice
- A sponge brush

- A hole puncher or use a knife to make holes to put the string through
The step by step process:
- Take a paper plate and draw a moon on one side and a star in the middle of the plate with a pencil.
- Then cut out the moon and the star.
- Then paint over the moon and the start
- Then make a hole through the upper part of the star and another hole on the upper part of the moon.
- Then put the string through them and hang it at a place of your choice.
