Hello and welcome to Life Happened!
I meant to start this blog during my mat leave as a creative outlet with an aim to share my motherhood journey but procrastination is my jam and it took me 4 years to execute that plan! And SOOO much has changed since I was a brand new mom!
As a full time working mom; I am all about quick and effortless recipes whether it’s for home decor, crafts or parenting and on this blog, I share just that! I’m naturally a very frugal person, so everything I share here is very budget friendly and involves minimum waste as I’m also on a mission to reduce my carbon footprint in this world and through my blog, I want to encourage my audience in doing so as well!
I called my blog life happened because birthing my daughter was one of THE significant events in my life and it made me realize how oblivious I was about life’s responsibilities and life in general. I was a mess pre-baby and motherhood grounded me and truly changed me for the better. I couldn’t think of a better name than “life happened” as I felt my life really just started with a new meaning and I was reborn with the biggest responsibility of life aka raising a little human.
Let me introduce myself before I forget. My name is Nawrin, a 35 year old immigrant from Bangladesh, working in the insurance industry; mommy to my only child, who always has the biggest smile on her face and wife to the kindest and the most laid back human being on this planet, who literally is the backbone of my support system. We have 0 family in Canada and that’s why, we visit our families back home at least once a year. We live in a border city of Canada called Windsor and in our spare time, we love exploring Michigan and Ohio on the other side of the border!
My guilty pleasure is anything fried, salty and savory with a touch of Netflix. I am addicted to coffee, British crime dramas and Pinterest. Photography is a true passion for me and interior designing also comes very close! When I’m not working or mommying, I’m either pinning decor inspos or re-arranging furniture and updating little corners of our 50 year old house!
I’m socially awkward and a huge introvert and that’s why, connecting with other moms virtually has been a game changer for me. This amazing community of mom bloggers have inspired and taught me so much and I would be ecstatic if my blog can also inspire you in some way!
I hope you enjoy your time here and don’t forget your coffee while you do that!
love,
Nawrin
