Nothing gets the kids excited for Ramadan and Eid more than crafts and DIY decors. And like every year, this year also I have planned quite a few Ramadan crafts for my daughter. I love doing these crafts with her because it not only gets her excited about our religious occasions but also makes her curious about them. I love how she asks questions as we go through each craft and thus brings up a learning opportunity for her about our faith and religion.
This craft was so easy to make and I love that it only required 4 supplies:
- A pack of air dry clay
- Star and Moon shaped cookie cutter
- A rolling pin
- String
Since this clay dries hard if left open in the air, all you need to do is flatten the clay and cut out shapes of star and moon while it’s soft. And then using a straw poke a hole on the edge of each pattern, to be able to put the string through them.
P.S. It’s best to take small amounts at a time, otherwise the clay can get hard and it will be impossible to mend it.
Once there was enough stars and moons, I put them all in a string forming a garland and that’s it. It looks super cute and can be used as Ramadan or Eid decor and can be hung on a mantle or mirror or even in little kids rooms or play rooms.
Let me know how you liked this easy Ramadan/Eid craft.
